Oakley KING of GREENS has landed the sweetest, most challenging venue for its 2015 golf championships for the elite of action sports: the FALDO Course Berlin, at the A-ROSA Scharmützelsee Resort, Germany.

Redesigned by golfing legend, world champion and top European Ryder Cup player Sir Nick Faldo the course is reputed to be the most challenging in Germany and will test the skills of our action sports players to their limits - even though many have handicaps in single figures.

The course, the first to be designed by Sir Nick Faldo in Europe, features a typically Scottish links-style blueprint, with 133 deep pothole bunkers, dune-like fairways and lightning-fast contoured greens. Its reputation of delivering a tough game and its undisputed quality earned it the award of best golf course in Germany from the Golfjournal.

The A-ROSA Scharmützelsee has hosted an impressive list of events since its creation, including the German Open in 1998/99, the World Championships in 2000, the German Men’s and Women’s Teams Championships from 2005 to 2012 and the Faldo Series Germany Championship. But in the autumn of 2015 it may be paid the greatest complement a golf course can be awarded: the hosting of the 2022 Ryder Cup.

As good as they may be the Ski, Skate, Snowboard, Surf and Bike athletes are going to have a tough time navigating the minefield of bunkers and complex links. So Oakley KING of GREENS has arranged on-green workshops and mentoring with some of the top amateur golfers from Germany and Austria. They’ll be pleased of the advice when they tee off for real!

So good luck to all our players. They’re going to need it if they want to win an extra-special, one-of-a-kind Nixon x KING of GREENS trophy watch and coveted throne of Oakley KING of GREENS!
